The Sun is the Archetype of the Hero. In many ways, the Sun is the most challenging of the Archetypes to understand. The other Archetypes represent the different voices in our heads. Saturn, for example, is the inner authority figure, and the voice that is always right there to point out when we’ve done something wrong. All of the other Archetypes are responsible for thinking the thoughts we think. The Sun, on the other hand is the part of us that notices the thoughts. The Sun is the “Big S” Self—the ultimate Truth of who we are as individuals. (Most of who we think we are is Mars, the ego/body and the “little s” self).
We do not automatically express the Sun. The Sun represents our potential; the purpose of our life is to realize, embody and express that potential. When Arthur pulled the sword out of the stone, his destiny was to be the King of England. That was the beginning of his journey, not the end.
Your journey begins when you truly ask, “Who am I?” The journey ends when your consciousness and vibration have expanded to the Enlightened and Transcendent states.
